Why do I sometimes feel a heat spike when I use the Ezmio Nail Lamp?Updated 2 months ago

The heat spike or heat sensation you sometimes feel during curing is called an exothermic reaction, which is common in the nail industry. This occurs when chemical bonds form in the gel, releasing more energy than needed to cure it. To help reduce this sensation, consider these tips:

  1. Avoid over-buffing your natural nails – A thinner nail bed can increase sensitivity, leading to a stronger heat sensation.
  2. Apply thin coats of gel polish – Fewer molecules reacting will release less heat, minimising the discomfort.

You can also use Our Nail Lamp’s 99s Low Heat Mode, which gradually increases the curing strength, helping to reduce the heat sensation. If the heat is still too intense, briefly remove your hand from the lamp, wait a few seconds, and then continue curing.

While this sensation may be uncomfortable, it is not harmful to your nails.
